September Praying Sunday - Wait On The Lord
Hurray! It's another Praying Sunday this year!
The Cathedral Administrator in the person of Ven. Ben. Nwokedi yet blessed us with another teaching in the service today.
Today's sermon wan captioned on the topic "WAIT ON THE LORD"
In his teaching, he spoke extensively on what it means to wait on the Lord and also listed out positive key points to this effect.
He went ahead to say that waiting on God means pausing until you receive further instructions from God!
He gave illustrations using television set remote controls in our homes as a reference to his teaching today.
Marriages were also part of the examples used in today's sermon.
We were made to know that;
1. Nobody has ever hurried and succeeded in life.
2. You can’t hurry and hurry out anything; It is better to wait on God for “The patient dog eats the fattest bone”
He made mention of ways by which one can wait on God which are;
1. Through the study of the word of God
2. Through Prayers
3. Sharing your life experiences with those who are waiting on God
He went ahead to urge the church not to take any decision without involving God first.
Ven. Ben. Nwokedi also told the church that God revealed to him that we the Children of this world are wiser than the Children of the Kingdom and asked God to increase both he & the church in wisdom to be more wise.
The message will be continued next Sunday 4th of October 2020 with "THE BENEFITS AND CONSEQUENCES OF NOT WAITING ON THE LORD" which will really add more understanding of this topic "WAIT ON THE LORD"
After the sermon, the Praying Sunday commenced proper as series of prayers were made
Remain Blessed!
A good effort.! Thank you for the report. It would have been however best if the bible quotation of Psalms 27 : 13 - 14 is mentioned for reference purposes. Bless you real good
